Preserving and defending Proposition 13 is a key issue for OCTax. We oppose any attempt at undermining or weakening Prop 13, including legislation that lowers the voter threshold needed for tax increases.

LEGISLATION

Every year OCTax analyzes specific bills that impact the taxpayers of Orange County as well as take positions on ballot propositions each election cycle. Our representatives have testified in front of state officials, cities, and many county and regional boards on behalf of our members, businesses, and taxpayers.

The Orange County Taxpayers Association is a strong supporter of property and development rights, fee-supported services vs. tax-supported governmental services, and is committed to return statewide tax equity to Orange County.
