About - What Electeds Say About OCTax

Orange County Taxpayers Assoication has been a respected voice in Orange County for over 20 years.  The analysis and policy papers authored by its leaders are followed and read by lawmakers and legislatiors throughout Orange County and the State of California.

Below is a sampling of what local elected officials have to say about OC Tax:

Senator Lou Correa:  “We need a balance between taxes and services in order to govern effectively.  OCTax helps make sure when taxes are collected, they provide for the services that are needed, and that taxpayer dollars are invested wisely and effectively.”

Senator Tom Harman:  “Keeping government spending in check is important, especially in Sacramento.  OCTax works hard to educate elected officials about tax policies that help Orange County.”

Assemblyman Chuck Devore:  “Taxpayers and businesses need strong advocates in the halls of government.  OCTax helps elected officials to make policies that represent the interests of taxpayers.”

Assemblyman Jose Solorio:  “Responsible spending by government assures taxpayers that their taxes are being spent in beneficial ways across the community.  OCTax helps make sure tax policies and spending decisions do just that.”

Assemblyman Van Tran:  “Taxpayers want to know their tax dollars are well spent and that government runs lean.  OCTax is a watchdog to make sure that happens, and is making a difference.”

Supervisor Bill Campbell:  "OCTax has been protecting taxpayers and businesses for more than 20 years.  OCTax has helped guide many policy decisions in this county, and is a trusted source in Orange County."

Supervisor Pat Bates:  "OCTax is an effective advocate for taxpayers, respected in city hall, the county hall of administration, Sacramento and Washington.  OCTax is one of the most trusted sources for information on the appropriate uses of tax funds in this state."

Supervisor John Moorlach:  “Government must be a good steward of the public's funds.  OCTax endeavors to make sure that government expenditures match OCTax’s goals.”

Curt Pringle, Mayor, City of Anaheim:  "Few organizations are as effective as OCTax in advocating pro-business, pro-taxpayer, pro-freedom policies.  Their efforts have helped protect the bottom line for Orange County Taxpayers."

Carolyn Cavecche, Mayor, City of Orange:  "Orange County's business climate remains vital because of a dedication to keeping taxes fair, understandable, and good for business.  OCTax has helped promote these principles in Orange County for more than two decades."
